Dr. Simmonds was drawn to OB/GYN because this field of medicine enabled her to have a lifelong relationship with her patients. She decided to limit her practice to Office Gynecology beginning in 2010 in order to spend more time with her 4 children. Dr. Simmonds enjoys seeing patients of all ages, but especially enjoys working with adolescents and women experiencing perimenopause and menopause. Dr. Simmonds is a North American Menopause Society member and a Menopause Practitioner. She also has a special interest in contraception and from 2018-2019 organized Medical Mission Trips to Costa Rica to provide contraception to underserved women. Dr. Simmonds serves on the board of The Allay Foundation which provides financial support to mothers suffering from mental health challenges.
